Parent Letter December 2006
Dear Parents,
Happy Holidays!
The second Semester is already almost here! The year is just flying by. This is a happy time of the year with a lot of celebrations. The students will celebrate with a Christmas party in their rooms on the 19th. The room mothers are working hard preparing things and making sure there are enough treats for all the kids. Any special request will be sent by the homeroom teacher.
Weather
This can also be a time of bad weather. When inclimate weather strikes school closings will be announced on the radio and the television. It is important to discuss with your child what they are to do if school should ever close in the middle of the day.
Thank you
I wanted to say thank you to all the volunteers that have helped us this month. Several helped us during American Educators week, it was greatly appreciated. McDonald’s provides our student’s of the month with a free lunch each month; I know the kids really appreciate that! Office Depot sent us a card for over $440 that will be used for school supplies. Thank you to Office Depot and thank you to all the parents that remember to mention Oak Grove when they make a purchase.
