Welcome to the Poplar Bluff R-I School District
After what seemed to be an endless summer, we have finally reached "the season of change" autumn. As we begin to witness more seasonal temperatures, the end of the first semester is just around the corner. We are well into the changes I mentioned earlier this year. We are busy working the kinks out of Reading First and the IEP Facilitator programs. Changes in instruction are very evident due to the implementation of these programs, as well as the social studies grant at the high school. I keep reminding our teachers that we must stay the course. We all know change is not easy and it takes time. True change that will impact instruction and help students learn will be worth the efforts. It will take some time to be able to see the benefit for the students and may be uncomfortable for some during this adjustment period. Remember just "stay the course" and good things will happen for kids.
