See the Announcements Page for New updated Information! The PBJHS Jr. Beta Club is a service oriented club that requires an invitation for membership. Members are not allowed to have anything less than a B– minus average to participate and nothing below a 3 in citizenship on their quarterly report cards. If a member fails to meet these guidelines they will be placed on probation for one quarter. If after one quarter, the grades and/or citizenship has not improved then the student will be deemed inactive and not allowed to participate in projects, field trips, etc…You must participate in at least one service project each quarter to be eligible for the state convention in Dec. and the playday field trips in the spring. In the 2008/2009 school year our Beta Club raised money for the kindergarten teachers who lost their rooms in the fire, made and delivered valentines for Mark Twain Nursing Home and VA patients, worked the St. Jude Pancacke Breakfast at Applebees, raised $500.00 for the American Cancer Society by having a carwash and participated in the state and national competition. We are looking forward to an even bigger year this year! It is our goal to take the whole club to the national competition next June in Louisville, Kentucky! It will take a lot of hard work and dedication from all members of the club to achieve this goal! |
