O’ Neal Second Grade Art

“These Second Graders did a fantastic job on these artworks.”

“They sure did.  Hey, Gordon, where are you going?”

“I am already ahead of you, Hue.  I’m getting an up close and personal look at these fabulous artworks.”

“Don’t forget to look for the stolen Portrait.  Gordon?  Gordon!  Now, where has he gone off to?”

          “You finally catch up, Hue?”

“Yes, Gordon.  There are a lot of fine artworks here this time.”

“You said it, Max.  I think I have spotted the stolen portrait, but I do not recognize the artist.  Who is Thomas Hart Benton?”

“Thomas Hart Benton was a Missouri artist.”

Missouri?  Isn’t that the state we are in now?”

“Yes, Gordon.  Now, Mr. Benton was a Regionalist painter.  That means he painted people and places her in Missouri.  Many of his Murals decorate the walls in the Missouri State Capital Building in Jefferson City.”
“Cool.  I’ll get it.  Here hold this Rembrandt and the Da Vinci.”
